I am the wizard of what was.  I started repairing old Nova 1200
computers in the mid 70's, and became one of the best in the
country at doing what I did.  I had to repair everything on the
system (cpu's, monitors, tape drives, disc drives, plotters,
digitizers,  printers). And when I say repairing, I mean down to 
the chip lvl. Anyway to make a long story short, the technology
today has put me out of work. That's where the "was" comes from.
The Wizard comes rom a cartoon I saw on a customers bulletin
board, of a Wizard waving a magic wand at a cpu to fix it.  The 
caption read, " I don't know, but I think he's from CV." and somebody
had penciled in "Fast Eddie?  Charlie?"  Well the Sys. Mgr. saw
me looking at it, and I said "I take it that that is a complement."
And he said that it was. So that is the story of my handle.  Different
and unique.  As a side note, Fast Eddie taught me the first thing to
do in computer repair.  Be lazy, go for the easy stuff first.  90% of the
time it's an easy fix.  In and out and no call backs.  I hated call backs.
