The increase in spell levels results in a variety of things. Soimetimes the damages increases as is the case with fireball. sometimes the mana cost goes down. With chain lightning the cost goes down and the effective distance increases, but the spell damage remains constant. But in all cases, increasing the spell level means good things for you. Read to the max 15 levels. Then add an arch angels staff of some sort for another 2 levels to 17. Then add a thinking cap for another two level (19). Finally, if you're really coordinated and skilled at this game, go for the Naj Light Plate, which will add one more spell level to the ultimate max of level 20. Personally, every time i use the naj plate i die because the armor level is just too low. Going from 15 to 19 has an enormous impact. one fireball will blow a succubi. going from 19 to 20 doesn't seem like that big a deal to me. I would concentrate my resources on buiilding fireball and chain lightning.to their max levels first.
