     On the ordering page of the shareware Descent, it was noted that
the registered version would contain 30 levels.  Upon receiving this
full version, I played around with the Descent cheats, trying to go 
directly to level 30.  Unfortunately, the highest level allowed was
level 27.  I'm guessing the missing three levels are hidden, and was 
going to post a question of whether anyone had found any of these.
As it turns out, while my newsgroup reader was down, I found a secret 
level myself!

     On level ten, beside the red access door that ultimately
leads to the reactor, is a secret door on the lefthand wall.  Behind
this wall is what I thought was the standard exit.  From the red
access door, it is quite a distance to the reactor core.  When I
destroyed the reactor, I arrived back at this hidden exit with only
a second or three to spare.  Upon the screen flashed the message 
"Alternate exit found" (or some wording like that) and I found myself
taken to the "Asteroid Secret Base", which is obviously located within
the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.  This level is unlisted
on the 3D map screen, by the way.  Anyway, this level is fairly difficult;
expect some new enemies to make an appearance (the ones that fire multiple
rockets very quickly are a true joy!).

     So, are congrats in order for finding this level?  Anyone else discover
this, or the other secret levels?
