Because all major software is being :>developed for Win95 Go figure. Key phrase: BEING developed. All the Win95 developers are furious with Microsoft because they made RADICAL changes to Win95 JUST before releasing it. Therefore, Microsoft gets the jump on everyone because they're the only ones who really knew what Win95 was like before it was released. :>Besides, you won't have a choice! I mean, why :>have an operating system with NO support (ie, MAC OS, OS/2) :>no Hardware support (OS/2), and no software support :>(all Non-win OS's). Are you nuts??? Mac support is far and away the BEST IN THE BUSINESS, and everyone else could only hope to come CLOSE to what Mac set as the standard. :> :>And to think, MAC freaks think that MS copied the :>Apple interface when making Win95......sorry, :>BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! NOT!! You're absolutely correct, here. Micrsoft tried (and did not succeed) to copy the Mac OS when they came out with the original Windows. The courts ruled that Microsoft needed to make major changes in their "OS" (in quotes because Windows in any version is still just a DOS shell) or else face legal action. :> :> :>But don't stop there, look at OS/2. complex beast, :>one with no software and hardware support. :> :>So there's little doubt who'll win the OS Wars. :>Windows 95, where do you want to go today? :> Where do I want to go today? Windows95 does not crash nearly as much as people claim, and I've had my copy since the very beginning of September. Three months. And it's crashed twice. Furthermore, those crashes were *my* doing, not Windows. Maybe that's not a long time span, but wherever I'm going I've yet to crash Windows on purpose. And, for the record, while I believe OS/2 is a superior product to Windows95, being a superior product is not necessarily indicative of what will win out. IBM made one mistake, which was to think Windows95 was going to flop, and therefore choose not to support any programs on it. That was the one big mistake. That is also why I do not have OS/2 on my system, because the current version will not support any of the new Win95-based applications being developed. -- "Yes!
