The original Descent creators just put up a ks for a spiritual successor to 
my favorite 3D game ever.  'Spiritual successor' is just about making me 
grind my teeth, and I'm very frustrated and annoyed with Interplay for 
screwing up the Descent license and not even paying them their due 
royalties.  In any case, just reading the description makes me very excited 
about this project:  A focus on the single-player game, with back-story by a 
Freespace 2 writer, vr support.  Wow.

If you enjoyed Descent back in the day, this should be a big deal for you

I really liked Descent, but I sort of cringe with anything involving
Kickstarter.  On top of other tragedies like the failed Red Baron
remake, the recent Ant Simulator fiasco was like the coup de grace
(lol).

different name or something a year or two ago?
