I'm playing Descent 3, single player, and I'm still on level freakin' one. I cannot find the energy to shields converter! Can someone clue me in, please?

I don't think there is an energy to shields converter on level one. What part of the level are you at? Have you gone past the outdoor area yet? IIRC, it's a bit more difficult to find than in Descent 2. It's also been rumoured to disappear between levels. I wouldn't worry about not finding it, as it's much less beneficial on anything above Rookie difficulty. The first energy to shield converter I found was in level 5, Red Acropolis station. If there are some in any of the earlier levels I must have missed them. I just bought the D3 and Mercenary Dual Jewel set for $19 Aus delivered from Ebay, from an Australian dealer. There were cheaper ads from a Canadian dealer.
