Truse me. Besides, in some cases, it is more challenging than the other two sequels - besides, some of the enemies in D1 can be a much greater threat than certain skilled deathmatch players.

Level 7 boss shooting with smart missilies? Once you found out it´s a laugh. The purple bots that fire with fusion? Just challenging in long tunnels. Final boss, the one that runs faster than Forrst Gump? All of them need some special terrain. Any *skilled* player is more challenging. Lueder

In case you do think it is please mail me a zipped demo of both bosses done on this level. Actually, that boss is easy because of the center pillar. If the center pillar gets removed, the most famous tactic of doing circles is no longer available. In that case, you have to rely on dodging plasma balls - which don't always come in from the same direction. Also, it's a major threat for the first-time player. Why? The newcomer doesn't know how to dodge homing projectiles that well. >The purple bots that fire with fusion? Just challenging in long >tunnels. Yes, that's one of their strengths: tight-quarter combat. They are still a threat in large groups, as it is difficult to dodge instant-kill attacks coming in from more than one direction. > Final boss, the one that runs faster than Forrst Gump? Still a challenge, even on difficulties below Rookie. That boss does can perform multiple attacks, that do one-hit-kills even when they miss. Not only that, but the boss also gates in other enemies that are extremely dangerous. >All of them need some special terrain. Any *skilled* player is >more challenging. Two words: Cloaked Driller. Even *skilled* players are scared by the regular driller - the cloaked driller is much worse. Not onlt that, but the cloaked driller sometimes appears in groups...

I got stuck at level 21, overwhelmed by simple firepower of the bots. Lueder P.S.: It is *big fun* for me to play against the bots, from time to time. I really enjoy it. Anyway it is no challenge in comparison to multiplayer games.

The driller is the silver-grey bot that fires with vulcan, right? Entering a room with 4 of them on different places is not really challenging, it is just unfair. Anyway, my intention was not start a useless single vs. multiplayer discussion... Lueder
