Hi,
I downloaded a bunch of files (all of them actually) from
http://icculus.org/d2x/bin/. Dumb question: WTF do I do with them?

Delete them all except d2x-0.2.5_mingw.zip
(the rest are just earlier versions).

Then, unzip d2x-0.2.5_mingw.zip, in your current Descent2
directory, using "WinZip," or some other such program.

Finally, create a shortcut on your desktop to d2x-gl.exe
and you're ready to go!

Lance

Thanks Lance. I did that, and it worked, but not very well. It played the
movies in a small window etc.
I then installed the Win95 patch and ran it in the Win 95 compatibility
layer and it worked perfectly.
I'm sure I've tried that before and it didn't work. Oh well.
It's been a while, D2 sure makes me appreciate the advances made in D3.
Shame about the D4 debacle...
