Just obtained a laptop and want to play D & D2 on it, but certainly don't want to lug a joystick everywhere. What do you keyboard only guys use for your configuration? TIA CJ

Is there anything you can use as a mouse? Perhaps an addon mouse? That's what I would use. rms

Yea, I could, but it would be cumbersome, and I know a few great players use keyboard only so it would be fun to learn a new thang. I think Moon is a keyboard player, and judging from his demos he can fly alright. CJ

I used keyboard+mouse in years ago when I was playing descent a lot. My keyboard setup followed 2 fashions a forward z backward s up x down left control slide left left alt slide right q bank left e bank right w fire primary left shift fire secondary space fire flare b fire mine v after burner mouse left button fire primary middle mouse button fire secondary right mouse button forward (or afterburner, depending on how i felt) I developed an alternate layout as well replacing a few above a slide left f slide right s forward x backward d up c down This one felt better, the first one I had tended to make my hand sore after 3 hours of playing. The second layout was a little more relaxed, though I never totally mastered it again. I kept having trouble with a few manuvers I used to do with the old layout as I couldnt slide up, go fowrad and bank at the same time. I suppose using v and b for banking and using the thumb to hit those might fix the fatal exception error 148242 all Pimary Digits currently in use (Fingers already engaged :) DRACO-

Thanks guys! I think that I will go with the mouse/keyboard for this. CJ
