Well, we may be well on our way to locking the net up... But how about
a way to change the socket number in the game instead of having to quit
to dos time and time again... people may have to load up descent four
or five times to find an open game using the current setup... And, P.S.
I was replying to Rob about the descent network thing, I don't think
that paralax did the corridor 7 game and haven't even heard of corridor
7... any way... Is this something that we may expect for the "super"
edition that will be out near summer time?

Is this something that we may expect for the "super" >edition that will be out near summer time? First, I'm amazed and impressed that so many people at CMU are playing Net-Descent to fill 4 or 5 sockets. You've totally made my week with that bit of news. As for a changable socket from the menu, Interplay did suggest this a few days ago, but by that time features had been frozen for the registered version of Descent. Although it is not in my power to promise an on-the-fly change-socket option in the CD-enhanced version, I will say its highly likely that it will get done. ---- Robert Huebner
