ok, so i wasn't completely up with the times when i bought my 486/33.. 
but for cryin in the sink that's an awful lot of processor to have choke 
up on a game.. ok, it's one hell of a game.  my suggestion is this:
  give me a way to shut off the textures completely.  not just the far 
away stuff, but -all- of it.  true, you end up losing one of the things 
that makes this game cool, but that option will be there for those with 
the serious processing muscle to use it.  thoughts?
