BBSdirect aka Cris now is forming a descent ladder. At the present time about
70-100 players are online looking to play and soon a multilplayer mode
will be added.I will keep you posted. If you have rlogin capability people
are also playing that way.The prices for the service is 10 a month for
unlimited time if you rlogin to cris.com If you have a local indial and they
are in the 100 largest US cities you can play for 30 a month unlimted time
and you get full internet access again for no charge and unlimtied time online.
Think about it.

Interesting. I already play Descent 2-player across the Internet, and I don't
pay an additional DIME for the priviledge. The guys on IRC are working on MILK,
Multiplayer Internet LinKup to let us play multiplayer. I'll be surprised if
they charge for it, either. Use IHHD to play two player. Source code is on
ftp.cactus.org in /pub/IHHD/source, or better in binary form on the bot named
Descender in the IRC channel #descent. Type /msg Descender files. DON'T pay
for it. Sheesh.
