Adam, as long as Parallax is watching this group (which is great), I have a wish or two for Descent: The ability to 'auto-level' with a keystroke. For instance, I normally run with auto-levelling off because it screws up my orientation. But every so often I come into a room where I'd like to level the ship off. So I'd like to be able to hit a key the will orient the ship with the nearest surface below me, but leave auto-levelling off after that. Second wish: Descent runs great in an OS/2 DOS Window, but when I go to view the map, Descent changed screen modes to a mode that isn't supported in an OS/2 Window. I have to alt-home to full screen, view the map, then alt-home back to the window (alt-home is an OS/2 keystroke for switching back and forth to full screen/window within a DOS session). Why the change in video modes ? How about some gravity ? Or do all the ships have antigravity generators built in ? :-) The graphics engine is incredible!! Any chance of having a game with a person running the halls / climbing ladders/ jumping off bridges/ whatever - there's so many possibilities. Any plans for games using this engine in the future ? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Aupperlee "Hey, Cool ! They got a blimp !" *These statements are mine* - The Tick -----------------------------------------------------------------------
