Does anyone else use the Logitech Cyberman for controlling Descent? I
have worked out a fairly good control configuration for the Cyberman.
First of all, move the firing buttons to the keyboard. This prevents
over-excited trigger fingers from causing unexpected barrel rolls and
nose dives. I configure Cyberman button #1 as flares, button #2 as mines,
and button #3 as rear view, but any functions that are not repetitively
or frequently during battles could be used. Finally, the Cyberman is
configured to control sliding along it's two-dimensional X/Y axis.
Movement is intuitive, for one moves the Cyberman the same way he or she
wants the ship to move.

It's got a very stiff stick (heh heh) so that you have better control, and the best part is, it's $15. Also, assign accelerate to button 2 and fire to button 1. -- ----------------------------- Maelstrom: ma...@primenet.com http://www.primenet.com:80/~mael1 "In order for a lie to exist, there must be a truth that it contradicts."
