For some reason my score is not displayed on the "High Scores" screen 
accessed from the menu. Do you have to complete the entire game before 
your name is displayed, or should it always be displayed whenever your 
score is high enough.

Also, I thought CTRL-R would reset all the entries to zero, but it 
doesn't seem to do anything other than redisplay the current high score 
screen with the startup default scores.

Any info appreciated. Thanks!

You can't get on the High Scores screen playing in Trainee mode, so that
may me your problem.  Let us know if that's not it.

In the Registered Version you enter the High Scores when
you finish the game OR die without any lives left.
Your score has to be high enough to enter the High Scores (of course).

In the Shareware Version there's an extra way to enter the High Scores:
when you abort a game by pressing <Esc> and your score is high enough
to enter the High Scores.

These default highscores are easy to beat, so why worry?
You don't want to enter the High Scores by killing only one robot, do you? :)

I forgot to mention in my last post that I have the commercial CD-ROM 
version of Descent.
