    Anybody knows why I get a General Protection Fault by typing in DEVIL?
    (Plus I get a nice list of E-registers, i.e. eax, ebx, eci, esi, etc.)

 I got this until I did a really clean boot.  Any of your boots for 
really sensitive games like WCIII should do it.

I am not sure but i think it's a memory manager problem... a soon as i
get rid of memory management all is fine with devil.... (i've also had
this problem with other similar types of programs..... and this always
seems to fix it..)

I had the same thing...  Try this...  Don't load QEMM (If you do)... 
Make sure that any adaptor card with shared memory is excluded from what
ever extended memory manager you do use and use the Microsoft mouse
driver v9.0...

That is what Got it to work on mine...  Just a note, I was using the
logitech mouse driver with cloaking...
