I just down-loaded the shareware version of Descent and it locks up
about 5 seconds into the first level everytime. It's running on a
486 DLC and I turned off all the sound, so that's no problem. Any
ideas?

Thanks in advance, Jonathan.

I'm new around here, so don't take my word as gospel, but do you have
version 1.1 or 1.2? The former had some sort of problem with Cyrix chips.
