joystick recommend request

I recently got Descent and decided, of course, that I need a joystick.

Can anyone offer a recommendation of a particular one to get?

Are there ones to stay away from?

I would appreciate an e-mail reply, as I an not (yet) a frequent
reader of this group.

Thanks in advance-

Brian.

YES
Try the absolute best THRUSTASTER FLCS for the smoothest flight
and the best programability. The toughest stick in the world is the
THRUSTMASTER PFCS with 20lbs spring upgrade!!!!
I have both!! Can't reccomend them ANY higher, ther're the BEST.!!!
The PFCS has a solid metal base with 4 buttons and a tophat and the
FLCS has 4 buttons, 4 tophats and a dual-stage trigger >>fully
programable !!!

: The Pro Flight Control System from Thrustmaster (that's the one with the
: brushed steel base and high tension springs, not the cheaper plastic one)
: is extremely well made and durable, and will stand up to everything you
: can throw at it. Plus, if it does break during normal use, they will
: replace or fix it. The cheaper FLCS is also very sturdy, from what I hear.

Well... My Fcs hat is busted, But i went out and got the pro.
Itsa lot stiffer as a stick, but I raised joy senca to compensate.
(bonus is, sniping is a lot more stable now) <G>
Anyhow: back to the ranch...
My busted fcs, and a brokem wcs (as well) will both be sent to
thrustmaster as soon as I get around to it.
They are excellent when it comes to support.
I have another Wcs BTW... <g>
Bottom line: The hat will break on the fcs...
The Pro Fcs hat? well... it may as well.
I recomend the pro though, if you can get over the stiffness.
Like anything else... it needs to be used to loosen up.
And Descent will use it plenty <G>

Everything else is solid.
The only reason I have a busted wcs is because I stepped on it. <G>

BTW: i'l have to pay for the repairs, but it's worth it having backups.

Avoid the THUNDERSTICK! There is a piece that ALWAYS breaks off inside
after a while, rendering this piece of shit USELESS!
