Just got descent on CD-ROM and installed it. Great game, by the way. In 
the manual there is mention of things like VFX, Cyberman, and 
Cybermaxx, with implications that this stuff is some kind of VR 
equipment that works with Descent. Is this the case? If so, can someone 
say how well this stuff works, which is the best, and how much it costs?

The readme file gives you #'s to call for info on the VFX & Cybermaxx.  
the Cyberman can be bought at most PC stores.  The VR goggles work like 
to small monitors.
