I have a problem with a newsgroup. Here, let me explain.... See, I subscribe to a QUAKE newsgroup, and a little while ago (actually quite some time ago) I found a thread about piracy. So, I started posting. And posting. And posting. Know what? It's still going. Apparently some people are upset that we would discuss PIracy in a Quake newsgroup, and have threatened complianing individually to our ISPs. Well, being the nice person I am and all, I decided to save them the trouble. I am hereby officially complaing about myself. Please take any action neccessary. tHe fUzZZy DiGitaL onE... rabBit Rabbit> I must say this is the strangest messege I have ever recieved on the job. I have seen this thread on another newsgroup (Diablo) but I haven't read any of it until tonight. Although the subject matter isn't DIRECTLY related to the topic of the newsgroup, it is nonetheless relevent. MindSpring does not have a policy of monitoring newsgroups other than the Mindspring-only newsgroups. Even if your thread was completly off the subject, there is nothing we, nor any ISP can do, except on an individual basis. However, I am not aware of any ISP that does such. It would be like denying people the use of thier E-mail services because THEY LIKE TO SCREAM. It simply isn't done. If the thread offends anyone, they can easily mark the thread IGNORE. As far as I know, all newsreaders have this option. Otherwise, you needn't worry about these people. Just IGNORE them. ;-) "My heart has joined the thousand, for my friend has stopped running today." -Bigwig "The Black Rabbit of Enile comes for all."-Yet another Watership down reference Jay Hensley. jhen...@mindsdpring.net rabBit Unsolicited Commercial E-Mail sent to this address will result in either a mailbomb campaign or a virial attack, depending upon the nature of the offending E-mail and my mood.
