Has anyone noticed a change in the music between registered descent and the shareware version? I only received the registered version yesterday, but it seems to me that while the rest of the game has taken a step up from the shareware version, the music has taken a step down. Rather than the awesome kick me in butt music that we all saw in the shareware version, the music now has more of an artificial "arcade" sound to it. I've tried it out on a SoundBlaster 16 and ProAudio 16 and it's the same cheesy music. Of course, I've only replayed up to level 9, so I've yet to see what happens after that. Are the changes some optimizations that took place to speed up the gameplay, or am I just missing something? ================================== Of course, this is just a tiny tiny little comment about a totally awesome game. As you can see I went ahead and spent the $54 to get Descent FedExed. Just do it: get the registered version!
