Cannot play MIDI files

I have a Sound Blaster 16 and cannot get MIDI files to play via Media
Player or Jukebox. The error I get from Jukebox is: "MMSystem 002 A
device ID has been used that is out of range for your system."

I followed the directions for trouble shooting found in the Reskit help
file on the WIN95 CD-ROM, but no help.

The Control Panel -> Hardware Install -> Sound Devices, etc only allows
one I/O address, while the SB-16 actually has two; one for base I/O and one
for MIDI. Is this the problem? I installed the SB-16 driver and the
Microsoft MCI driver.

The SB-16 plays .wav files and CD with no problem. But nothing I do will
get MIDI files to play.

Any help is appreciated.
