Oh definitely, thanks Moon! You really do have the absolute best Descent
site out there, period, for useful info and help with Descent. I finished
the 2nd secret level but did not like that one too much. Too quick and way
too many spawning machine gun bots. They kicked my freaking ass dude and I
was so happy just to be done with it.

You can turn on "Savegame in secret levels" with D2X-XL, but if you do, and
then exit the mine, the next level cannot be found and D2X-XL goes into an
endless loop about cannot find next level, back to the mine end sequence,
cannot find level, back to the end of the mine, ad infinitum. That sucks so
you really do have to get all the way through the secret level without
getting killed because what good is the mine savegame if you cannot
continue playing when done with the secret level?

D2X-XL is freaking awesome, Moon. I got it working so freaking good, it is
a shame that you cannot run it on your box. The only thing I cannot get to
work is the audio files for the briefings in D1. I downloaded the extra.hog
file but no matter where I put it, I get no audio briefings but the high
res movies, graphics, and textures sure does rock. I can help you get it to
work on your machine if you want. Follow my sig instructions to email me
and I will get it to work if it can be done. I would be honored to help
such a long standing Descent partner Moon. Gotta go to work now, thanks
buddy.
