Stuck on D1 Collossus Level 3

Hey,

I am playing through the D1 Collossus levels.  I have made it to
level 3 (Eyes of Collossus?).  I have the blue and yellow keys.
There is a large room with a column in the center with robots
inside shooting out.  There is a room above this (near the start
room) with an invincible power-up, mega, and smart missle.  This
large room also has several hostages behind doors.

So, I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do in this room.  I'm
stuck.

Can anyone help with this?
