I need some help here!

I recently bought an Dell optiplex GX260 at a business auction. Its' a very
small computer without room for expansion. It appears to be a network
machine. I want to add a joy stick so I can play descent. I just bought D3
and the expansion pack.
There is no actual game port. There are several usb ports. After loading the
joystick software I keep getting a message saying that there is a problem
with the gameport or the gameport controller. I looked under the SOUND,
VIDEO, & GAME CONTROLLER
file but do not see a game controller.

So my question is: Is there anyway I can add a joystick to the system so I
can play?
