Yep that was the game all of us that have been hungry for while awaiting
Descent 4

( Note: D4 by any other name would be as sweet especially without stinking
lousy puke attorney's and current fools with copyright license )

I just hope somebody has the necessary grit to escape the descent lawyers
and make a 3d shooter in the mold of D1 and D2.  Nobody thinks ntrap was
anything close but it was certainly an interesting looking quasi 3d shooter
on paper.

My vote for best opportunity would be make D1 and D2 again but this time for
modern systems. (example: 32 player with 4 teams ctf level 10 D1 for
instance)

Fast computers and broadband with a D1 and D2 redeux would and could be such
a innovative move it would regain the top shooter honors to the 3d shooter
fans.  It would be a must however they let the mouse fly for it is the
controller of choice to the world of billions playing shooters and Descent
at it's best is a shooter ... yea 3d shooter but still none the less a
SHOOTER.  Fast slick and hang on to your cookies 3d shooter.

Make D1-D2 redeux and let the mouse fly
