I can't figure out how to get past the second fan in level 3 of D3 Mercenary.  I
got past the first fan by shoving a big floating ball into it.  And now I see
this fan at the end of a green-lit corridor, with forcefields on either side of
the corridor, and the fan keeps me from advancing, by blowing me back when I
approach.  I can't find any switches anywhere.  And I've spent lots of time
shooting plasmas against the forcefields, hoping they'd bounce off to the right
place and hit something useful.  No luck.  I also tried the switches in the
hallway that temporarily create gravity upwards and downwards in the storage
rooms.  Other than watching powerups get sucked up and down, I don't see any
usefulness in those switches.  I also haven't figured out the point of using
those controls in the rooms that overlook the large hangars through windows.

btw, that's a pretty cool level.  I actually tried to go outside once, after a
decompression, but unfortunately died instantly.  Now if I could find an
invulnerability powerup near the hangar, I'd be able to explore the outside
world briefly!
