Greetings, 

Your discussion sounds pretty interesting.  I recently upgraded my video card
to the Asus V6800.  It seems to work quite nicely compared to my ATI with the
Voodoo2 accelerator (which only had 16megs of ram - where the ATI had 32).  The
Asus has 32megs but I have no clue how you check for FPS.  All I know is that
is seems to run quite a bit smoother and the effects are WAY more pronounced
(especially when you shoot off a Shark missile - yeow!)  My screen goes crazy
for about 10 - 15 secs - shaking and all when you shoot the shark missile at
something.
