I doubt you've played it much , platform bigot.
You know, you're supposed to stay still around a corner to ambush someone. :)
Have you seen the commercial version?
A good game is a good game. I like it better than Doom or Doom II.
It's 3D, the alien AI is good, the "puzzles" are harder.
I _*LOVE*_ the flamethrower. :) Burn baby burn! :)
And I was the one who said I didn't like the gore in Doom all that much.
Well, depends on how I feel that day. :)
I like being able to look around.
The new Dark Forces is kinda like it. I'd say Dark Forces is more a clone off
of Marathon than it is Doom. Strange.
I liked Dark Forces... I thought the demo didn't show enough of the game,
though. I'd have to see the commercial version to judge that game.
I own a 3 year old 486DX-33 w/8megs. I learned DOS on this machine.
Before that I had an Atari 800.
Macs don't suck.
IBM don't suck.
If they did, <insert crude comment>. :)

Whatever.
Finally, I agree to disagree with you. If you want to respond to this
message, don't just give me "that sucks".
I almost agree with you in the Motion Detection idea.
It might _not_ be a good idea.
*It depends how well it's done.*
Of course Parallax would have to decide if it would work well or not.
I'm just throwing out ideas for them to think about. I'm not demanding them
to put it in the game.
I'm sure if they think it's a bad idea they're not going to do it.
In fact, it probably is too difficult to program in with this engine.
Or maybe not.
Every ship and thing must have a XYZ coordinate.
If "delta" XYZ is changing at a rate over such and such a velocity, put a blip
can be put on the screen. Make the radius a cube (unrealistic but hey)
and if the distance in X, or Y or Z is within so many meters put it on the
little display.
Hell, I don't know how the game engine works... XYZ or polar coordinates. I
don't know crap about how to implement it. It shouldn't take up all that much
processing time I would guess, considering that all the information is there.
The robots have to exist at least within the radius of sight.
