In the civilian sector, you learn to fly with your left hand. If you
become a flight instructor, you fly with your right hand. If you become
an airline pilot, you fly with your left hand, as a first officer. When
you become a captain, you fly with your left hand. If you become a train-
ing captain, you fly with either hand, since you can switch seats every
other day.
It's no big deal. What's wrong here is the assumption, probably instilled
through a life of conditioning and prejudice, that it *should* make a
difference. But in this case, flying requires gross motor movements, nothing
fine. And although focusing on the "wrong" hand may feel odd at first,
it really makes no difference in the long run.
Me? I keep the joystick on the side of the desk with the least clutter. :-)
And to answer the man's question, CH produces the FlightStick Pro, which
does not have contours that would offend in either direction. And which,
in my opinion, is *far* superior, both in craftsmanship and performance,
to the Thrustmaster stuff. The Thrustmaster setup merely looks "cooler."
