I have uploaded my registered-Descent insane-skill-level single-ship
no-cheats complete-runthrough of Level 7 demo to wuarchive.
This demo illustrates some good weapons handling techniques,
such as using p-bombs to cover your back, vulcans for lightning
attacks, etc., along with decent flying skills (as decent as a
mouse will allow anyway) and it should be instructive for beginners
and those troubled by Level 7. I tried to adopt an aggressive
fighting posture, and the demo moves along at a good fast clip.

I'm not sure if Registered demos will run under Shareware 1.2
(Anyone? Will 1.1 demos run under 1.2?), but I know that Sh. 1.1
demos will not run under Registered, which makes many of the demos
on wuarchive useless for me now, hence this offering.

I must say that Insane skill level is quite challenging, especially
if you adopt a more aggressive fighting style. I'd say that
the Shareware 1.1 insane skill level is about equal to the Registered
Ace level in difficulty, though the roaming & awareness parameters
have been increased in the latter.

Anyway, the zipped demo is 5Meg, and its location is:
	ftp.wustl.edu
	pub/msdos_uploads/descent/demos/regl7ins.zip
I did not have a chance to test download it, but did test the zip
file just before uploading, and the upload went ok as well.

Remember that if the demo seems to be playing slowly, decreasing
the window size will show a considerable speed-up. This demo was
done on a DX/2-66, Mach64 3dbench=47.6 machine with a mouse-keyboard
control combo, a window size about two notches below full-screen,
and a mix of lowest to medium detail levels. Full-screen, high
detail play on a high skill level requires a pentium, alas.
Also, I've about reached the limit of the mouse's capabilities;
anyone tried the "spaceball avenger"? I'm thinking of ordering one.
