hey,

i'm having problems getting 2 registered versions running over a null
modem cable w/ my housemate. when we start things up, it just says
'waiting for remote player' forever. we _have_ been able to get doom
working as well as a chat using qmodem, so we know that they can talk to
each other.

we're running it over a home-brew null modem cable that only has the
transmit, receive and ground wires. could this be the problem? if not
any help would be great.

  specs are: (a) 486/66 Gateway 2000 w/ PAS 16
             (b) 486/33 Not sure what brand, Sound Blaster.

thanx.

ed

ps. e-mail response preferred (don't read the board that often).

B: Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Pinky?
P: Uh... yeah, Brain, but where are we going to find rubber pants our size?
