CRIS is kind of hard to describe in one sentence. I guess the closest
thing you could compare it to is Delphi. It's an Internet provider /
Gaming Service. It's got about 100 dial-in nodes throughout the
country, or you can telnet in from any internet provider. It costs
$30/month to access via the nodes, and $10/month to telnet in.

CRIS offers Kesmai's Air Warrior for an additional $1.50/hr, as well as
some other Kesmai games that I'm not all that familiar with. It's also
probably the worlds largest Game Connection server, and it's never hard
to find find a game of Descent, DOOM, Heretic, or whatever there.

Descent works great on CRIS H2H, and we should be getting multi-player
as soon as Sirius completes the Multi-player Descent front-end.

If your interested, I'd recommend getting a dial-up node if you have a
local one. It may cost more, but you get much better performance and
relaibility than with a telnet connection.

You join by telnetting to cris.com, or call 1-800-745-CRIS for more
info.
