Only the gamepad things are digital. : Not completely true. : There are digital sticks out also, such as the Competition Pro. : I had to search thru the whole city of Munich to find one. It is : perfect for jump-and-run, shoot-em-up and C64 emulator games. To clarify this a bit (I reworked my old C64 competition pro to work as a PC joystick) - You need a bit of electronics (two transistors and a couple of resistors) to convert the digital signal of the joystick (on/off) to an analog signal. The drawback is of course that you have only one value in each direction (forward and not forward, no values in between). Very cheap PC joysticks work that way.
