Hidden within the ra2.mix (ra2.mix\local.mix\rule*.ini) is a configuration file called rules.ini. This file can be extracted using a tool called the XCC mixer and edited after extraction. The rules.ini is constructed in such a way that it is very easy to modify; no programming skills are required. There are tags which refer to the strength of a unit, such as its hit points, which can be modified with the program." i beleive the XCC mixer can be used for C&C original. here is the 'readme" from the version i have: "This is the MIX manager for C&C: Tiberian Sun. It also works for C&C: Tiberium Dawn and C&C: Red Alert and all expansion packs. It let's you view the contents of all MIX files and let's you extract any file you want. An installation is not required. However, this program places some keys in the registry. If you've got a question about this program, please visit the XCC Home Page and post a message in the forum. If you've encountered a bug or would like to give your opinion about this program, feel free to e-mail me. Olaf van der Spek Almere, Holland XCC@XCC.TMFWeb.NL " many thanks for Olaf for his support of C&C over the years. the XCC home page seems to be down. but the program is still available: version 1.43 is available at: http://xhp.xwis.net/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?show_news many thanks to the XWIS community for it's continued support of C&C hope that helps

WOW. that is an oldie but goodie. sorry it didnt work. you could post the question at the forum at: http://www.cncworld.org/ it is reasonably active or you could goto http://xwis.net/ and ask there. Olaf may still be around, and he would know as he created the file i mentioned before. i also found an editor at the below. it indicated "This DOS based program lets you edit everything in C&C, including the building and vehicle settings." http://planetcnc.gamespy.com/View.php?view=TiberianDawn.Detail&id=62 by the way. if u have Tiberian Sun, you can get a mod that changes everything to Tiberian Dawn. Return of The Dawn is a wonderful mod. lets me play TD in skirmish mode. wow, more C&C!
