1 Depriving your enemy of money Since you can now force fire on Tiberian there is nothing to stop you sending a small force into the enemy's fields and shooting them off the face of the map. MRLS or NOD bikes do this best. This can be most spectacular on Blue Tiberian 2 Steal those harvesters The only use I've really found for the hijacker is to use a subterranean APC to deliver him and 4 rocket dudes to the enemy's ore fields and nick a harvester ,drive it a short distance away and kill it. Repeat as needed. 3 Vicroids Ho! If the enemy has Tiberian near his base send half a dozen grunts into it to die, should be good for a few laughs. (they turn into Vicroids) Nod tactics: If your base is stealthed, and your opponent, as GDI, is attempting to scout your base using JJ infantry for SAM sites, etc, switch them all off when you see him coming. Opponent thinks: "hmm. nice, poorly defended base, time to send in the orca bombers". Reactivate SAMs as required :) Some of the original C&C nod tactics also still apply, namably loading rocket infantry into APCs and unloading them near your harvester (or whatever) if your opponent decides to send orcas to investigate. You can still kill off the enemy harvester using stealth tanks too, though this tactic is obviously somewhat less successful if your opponent harvests near to his MSAs / has any serious escorts for his harvester. Popping up a subAPC in the enemy base can be hard due to concrete, loads of RPGs, etc. So try his local tiberium field (you'll be able to surface anywhere where he's just harvested). This is especially good if your cargo is cyborgs, cos they take a long time to kill in tiberium. A multimissile to the T-field works wonders. Especially if it happens to be a blue T-field. If your (GDI) opponent likes to use ghost stalker or the MMk2 for base defense, remind him of his evils by popping up a subAPC on the far side of some expensive structure. (what happens is his fire will damage/destroy his building too) Artillery is ample enough defense vs. ground units, but for added protection, force-fire it at the ground outside your base. This makes any attackers have to go uphill to meet you (which is bad). (untried, but particularly evil - just thought of it!) Try setting a circular waypoint system under your opponents base, and assigning a sub-unit to it. The result should be that said unit never surfaces, but your opponent has to put up with a perpetual stream of "subterranean unit detected". Which will either make him rather paranoid or far less likely to notice a new unit (ie subAPC with various nasties) approaching his base. GDI: GDI may not have a subAPC, but the next best thing is to load your engineers (or whatever) into an APC, and load it onto a carryall. Effectively an orca transport, therefore. You can track the location of a cloaked nod base quite easily by listening for it - a "cloak sound" will be made every time something is made in the cloaked area, enters or leaves it - i.e. quite frequently. Scroll your map until that sound is loudest. Now try bombing any large flat areas on your screen. This can actually give you an advantage on big maps with few people on them, as you'll be able to locate the enemy base more easily than your opponent. As GDI it is in your interest to destroy as many bridges near to you as possible early in the game - nod lacks airborne scouts, and it can take a *long* time for him to find your base on certain maps if you take out bridges (especially on the "tread lightly" map - the computer did this to me, and I couldn't locate it until I got hunter-seekers to locate his base for me) If you're having trouble with your opponent's artillery, try flying JJ air units in and landing them right next to said artillery. Take off immediately. The ensuing shell should cause collateral damage to the artillery, but not you. -- Fight Win Prevail But Never Cheat
