Is this something that ATI Radeon9700pro users have to put up with! Both
Generals and Zero Hour stutter every 15 seconds or so. I have read through
alot of posts, searched forums, and looked at the official sites and have
not found a solution for this stutter/pausing. I have seen some educated
guesses but they never seem to pan out.

I am running the games under WinXP professional using a P4 2.8Ghz machine ,
1Gb of memory, with the latest drivers and patches. But the stutter is
consistently there no matter what settings I have changed(virtual memory,
AGP memory settings, Omega Drivers, to name a few). I am using legitmate
copies of the game bought at compusa.

Sorry to vent but it is a frustrating problem. Any one have good solution to
this ?

I am running the game on a Radeon 9700 Pro / 2.53 GHz / 512 RAM / WinXP Pro
machine and I don't have the stutter problem.

The only thing I can think of is to make sure you don't have processor or
disk intensive tasks (like anti-virus, P2P software, etc.) running in the
background when you play the game.
