Red Alert(1) +The Aftermath

I understand that this combination should run on WinXP.
I can get RA to run in DOS mode, but I get "unable to find
video buffer" error when trying to get it running in WindowsXP.
Same when I try to run Aftermath from the opening screen, or
any other way.
I have NVIDIA GeForce2 Ti.
My processor is an AMD
AMD Athlon(TM) XP1700+ 1.4 GHz 512Mb Ram

Any suggestions?

here ya go, this site should cure your problems:

http://www.planetcnc.com/features/techtroopers/classicsInXP/

It was posted a couple of months ago by HeXetic. I haven't had a chance
to try it yet myself.

Thanks, but I've already read through this.
I don't see anything regarding my particular
card problem.

Read the guide again, and follow the instructions. You need to run in the
Windows version of RA in Windows95 compatibility mode to get rid of the video
card message.

Followed the same path after uninstalling.
It seemed that I had installed Aftermath
before Counterstrike.
So now I get "The procedure entry point
SMapLS_IP_EBP_12 could not be located
in dynamic library KERNEL32.dll"
Whatever I do, I get this message or the
"Unable to [find or allocate] Primary Video
buffer".
Furthermore, I cant get Tiberian Sun or
TS Firestorm to run either - or RA Gold.
Is there any knowledge about a possible clash
with any Symantec product, (like Noton AV and
Norton Internet Security) or that my NVIDIA
is the wrong card?
Can't get RA to recognise Soundblaster AWE 64
either. Checking in a basic Soundblaster card
results in broken sounds.
Running RA in DOS mode at 640 * 480 is very blocky,
and hard to control, and a poor experience.
