(generals) can you patch after crack?

I've got generals updated to 1.3 and I let my 11 year old nephew borrow my disks. He lives 60 miles away. Now, I would like to patch my game to 1.6 but it erros out saying that some file doesnt match so its aborting. Does anyone how to get around this.

You've cracked it one time and the place where you got that crack probarly got a cracked 1.6 patch. I you don't know what im saying... i cant help you :P
