The differences between GDI and NOD are not quite so obviously biased in GDIs
favour. Although GDI has access to more powerful tanks and aerial backup, most of
its units cost more to produce. Furthermore, the NOD light tank may be less
powerful in a 1 on 1 battle with a GDI medium, but it does fire faster ( = good at
destroying buildings) and can move faster, making it much more useful for
squishing infantry.

When it comes to defences, both are aimed at annhilating the other sides main
advantage - GDI's strength is in its armoured units and air force, so thus NOD's
defences (i.e. turrets, SAMs, etc.) are much better at taking these out.
Similarly, NODs strengths lie mainly in infantry (i.e. flamers and rocket
launchers, or chem warriors in multiplayer), so GDI has mainly anti-infantry
defences. NOD has no airforce with the exception of transports, hence GDIs
anti-aircraft defences are poor.
Its difficult to say which side really has the better deal.

If you still think GDI is better, remember that NOD does still have that nuke...
