My guess is that it might : have something to do with anyone using an kind of editor on the game, like : CCEDIT or CEDIT. I've used them onthe game, and since found it unstable, and : liable to these types of errors. Re-install the game, and don't use an editor : on the game.dat and you won't have any more problems. : Nemesis I had a few problems with the original CnC and a LOT of problems with Covert Ops. Fortunately I've resolved them all. 1) The little addendum booklet with CnC clearly states the you should only run CnC without EMS. Check your config.sys for a line containing EMM386. Make sure the only argument to this is "NOEMS". In fact, since CnC uses DOS4GW you don't even need EMM386 (see below). 2) Covert Ops seems to take a little more memory than CnC. I found that my crashes seemed to occur more often when there were large numbers of units doing lots of things. I created a boot disk with only my mouse and cd-rom drivers on it and everything seems to be happy now. Of course, this only applies to DOS. If you're using Windows or W95 then you're screwed. :^} /bruce -- ******************************************************************************* * Bruce Rennie Q: Are We Not Men ? * * bre...@interlog.com, bru...@numetrix.com * * * *******************************************************************************
