I suppose attacking a harvester is a really great tactic. It's great when playing
multiplayer but after a while, the other human opponents will catch on and start
seriously guarding their harvesters. I for one always sandbag my way to the tiberium
fields and plant multiple GDI advanced guard towers along the Harvester's route. But
before I have the cash to do that, I use a large group of bazooka men and have them
postitioned in strategic places to protect the harvester from air attack and I usually
have a tank or two to protect the harvester.
A better economic strategy is to not attack the harvester but to steal the harvester and
the refinery from your opponent with an engineer. At the same time, (because I use an
apc) I usually send 4 other engineers to steal the contruction yard, radar station, and
weapons factory or airstip. This is great but it requires a large sum of money to break
through the base defences. To counter the defences, I usually send in about 30
minigunners or more and use them as Fodder. The base defences would be so occupied that
they wouldn't have time to attack the engineers. It is also wise to send in a few humvees
to provide a larger distraction on the other side (if they have one) of the base.

Does anybody have other views concerning this? I would also like to know some great
strategies for protecting the harvesters.
