Upgrading to 1.18 increases the cost of the Nod turret, partially fixes the Nod nuke bug, fixes
the silo-selling bug and fixes problems with USR modems in multiplayer games. I haven't yet
upgraded to 1.19 - but there have been several posts detailing the fixes this offers (nuke
problem cured and build anywhere bug patched)

I have only played to successful (i.e link with other player maintained for duration of the
game) out of about 10 attempts. C&C over Kali seems fairly unstable at the best of times - but
transatlantic links make things a lot worse. I too subscribe to Demon - the bad news being they
currently suffer from massively over-subscribed transatlantic bandwith, the good news is that
they are planning major upgrades soon. For the time being I've given up on C&C over kali and
play Descent (over kali) most of the time. There does seem to be a growing number of U.K players
but no sign of a dedicated kali server yet. The nearest one seems to be in Poland - but I
haven't tested this yet so can't tell you if it's any better than the
American/Australian/Canadian servers.

BTW I've just been accepted as a tester for B.T's new Wireplay service - one of the games they
asked if I had was C&C - so I'm hoping this will be playable over Wireplay. I'll keep you
posted.
