I want to set up a LAN tournament with multiple Windows games. Eventually I would like to turn this into something more with custom software that I will be writing but in the mean time I will be attempting to do this with existing systems. So assuming that I have my own set of computers with legal copies of all the games that I want to play, I ask the following: 1) What kind of existing software is there currently out there to help facilitate LAN game tournaments so that cheating, dropping out early, tracking and statistics, etc... are accounted for? 2) What kind of API support are developers including in modern games to account for LAN tournaments? Is there a standard emerging? This is an interesting problem since when you are talking about a tournament, you are usually involving some sort of prize and therefore cheating and accuracy becomes more and more important. I have seen many tournaments announced over the years and would like to know how they did it also. Any help or links in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nate
