Note to all Kali users who are showing their support for a Kali newsgroup:
there is no "vote" for alt.* groups, so it doesn't make any sense to post
dozens of articles saying that you "vote" for alt.games.kali or whatever.
It seems that most of the people who show their support for the newsgroup
don't know how groups are created in the alt.* hierarchy or in the other
hierarchies. Posting more and more articles showing your support for a
Kali newsgroup could have the reverse effect: some news administrators
could get upset by the large number of clueless articles and decide to drop
that newsgroup.

What we really need is a well-written proposal which describes why the
group is needed, what kind of articles will be posted in it, etc. We need
a good charter for the group. If you want to know how to justify the
creation of an alt.* newsgroup, you should read the following WWW page:
http://www.tezcat.com/~haz1/alt/faqindex.html

You might also consider creating the group in another hierarchy than alt.*.
Creating the group in comp.* or rec.* would have the advantage of a (much)
better propagation for the newsgroup, thus allowing more Kali users to
share information and talk about Kali. The newsgroup could be created under
comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.* or rec.games.computer.*. If you want to create a
group in these hierarchies, you have to write a Request For Discussion (RFD)
and the group will have to pass the Usenet vote (yes, you will have to vote,
then!). For more information, take a look in the newsgroup
news.announce.newgroups or read the articles in this directory:
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-group/news.answers/usenet/creating-newsgroups/

Please take the discussion to alt.config only, or news.groups if you want
to create the group in one of the Big 8 hierarchies (recommended for a
better propagation).
