Of these:

These legacy games aren't really playable by modern standards - unless
you turn the speed down and rely more on micromanagement.

I don't find these games as enjoyable anymore because of an obviously
weak AI player.  While the earlier games were just as weak, they at
least kept building to create a very large army.

Definatly playable - although there's issues with single players
managing to take out a base by themselves, it is in theory fixable.
