Maybe it is in the definition of "ending"
we think of video endings
but maybe they meant 'game play' ending

with collection of all parts, you can use a nuke weapon. if not, you cannot
use it. (as Doug so correctly and intelligently noted, this was fixed with a
patch in the DOS version, and the Win95 version (aka Gold) didnt require the
collection at all.

What i don't know is, under the oldest DOS, before the patch, what was the
ending video if you didnt get the crates, since you couldn't pick the city
to nuke? or maybe it didnt matter, you still got the same ending video?

Here is a thought! (rare as they are) Doug, get a copy of the old
pre-patched DOS and dont get the crates and see what happens!

BTW, since there are 4 cities to chose, i wonder if it is worth saving the
game at the end, and going back 3 times and picking each city in their turn?
just another odd thought
