Its nothing to do with the drivers - my cards a 9100 based on the 8500 so the new drivers offer me little and I settle for the 3.1s after experimenting with ALL the 3 series Cats because they offer me the best compatibility with all my games. The latest drivers do NOT guarantee compatiblity as EA acknowledge when they advise ppl to use the Via 4.38 drivers rather than the the latest ones. As for your second point - you mistunderstood me. That level I lost a 10% margin all round the map - there was stuff showing up on the minimap that I couldnt see in the main window because it wouldnt scroll that far. The last 2 silos are in the top right corner I couldnt see at all until I dropped the menu panel down which expanded my field of view just enough for me to see the bottom edge of the silos. Thats a bug - and since all my other games (Medal of Honor, Half-Life, BF1942,Warcraft III, IGI2 and plenty more) all run fine. Incidentally C&C Generals runs fine up to 1.5 so its either the 1.6 patch or the expansion thats to blame. Ive checked a couple of forums and other ppl have had problems installing the game plus lockups like Ive had. I've uninstalled Zero Hour and Im returning it to the shop tomorrow morning.
