Version 1.20 is Covert Ops version if I remember correctly. It has been awhile
since I posted here since my game computer's scsi card went bye-bye. But to
answer your question......

Between versions 1.19 and 1.20, Westwood changed the name of the main file
which most editors were looking for. Pre 1.20 versions, the file was called
game.dat. Post 1.20 versions, the file was renamed to game.new. I worked out
the problems on how to get into the file as such. I copied the game.new file
into a directory where I had my editor, then renamed it to game.dat. Then did
my editing and saved. Rename in back to game.new. I kept a copy of the
orginal game.new in another directory. Then moved my edited version of
game.new into the game directory.
