Help onKali: KCHAT hangs up

I can connect to Kali servers, look the player list,etc.,
but when I start KCHAT.exe the computer hangs up
after a few keystrokes (e.g. �/who�, a list follows,
computer hangs up while the modem is still
receiving datas).
Does anyone know where the mistake is???
